GT-POWER-xRT

Real-Time Engine with GT-POWER-xRT

Product Overview

What Is GT-POWER-xRT

GT-POWER-xRT is a real time engine plant model solution. Using the same governing equations as GT-POWER, GT-POWER-xRT has been tailored specifically for the needs of both vehicle system simulation and ECU calibration, providing unparalleled execution speed, thus allowing for increased model complexity on the test bench.

Enabling vehicle system level integration and real time optimization with minimum effort and maximum accuracy, predictiveness, and fidelity using a detailed engine model.

Advanced control strategies, such as combustion control, can now be tested with an engine model at significantly faster computation speeds.

For Advanced Controls

Crank Resolved Physics With No Compromise On Run-Time

  • Rapidly convert detailed GT-POWER models to real-time capable
  • Incorporate GT-POWER based engine models directly into the control system development process
  • Crank angle resolved, physically conservative formulation for accurate results

Capable For Any Phase Of Development

  • Used in OBD (Diagnostic) Tuning, Performance Calibration, Advanced Controls Strategy, etc.
  • Seamless integration with Simulink and calibration tools such as ETAS INCA
  • Supports SiL and HiL, including systems from dSPACE, National Instruments, MathWorks/Speedgoat, Concurrent, Vector, MicroNova, Opal-RT, ETAS & more
The graph compares a standard engine configuration ("regular valve") against an optimized strategy ("dLT").

Use Cases

  • Virtual Calibration

GT-POWER-xRT can be used for virtual calibration. This allows engineers to develop calibrations virtually. This reduces the testing space and save time and money. Engineers can tune everything form air-handling, fueling, combustion, etc. all before an expensive test begins.

  • OBD Diagnostic Tuning

Due to the physics model of GT-POWER-xRT, a user is able to have the model used for basic diagnostic tuning and algorithm development exercises. This allows diagnostic engineer to have a better understanding of thresholds and can then dial it in with an actual test.
